What this site collects: almost nothing on its own. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and reliability. If you book a time through our scheduling calendar, the scheduling provider collects what you type into it under its own privacy policy.
What we collect when you become a client: the information we need to do the work; namely, your name, contact details, business details, and the facts of your matter. If a filing or a court requires it, that might include sensitive identifiers such as your Social Security number or driver’s license number. We only use that information for the purposes we collected it for.
How we protect it: our clients’ files live in secure, access-controlled cloud services. The people who work on your matter can see your information; nobody discloses it outside the firm without an attorney’s approval and a legal reason to do so, and we won’t send your personal information to a third party without telling you first unless the law requires otherwise. Communicating over the internet is so much easier, but it always carries some risk. If you have something especially sensitive, tell us and we’ll find a better way to talk about it.
Our filing tool: StrongTrademarks, at trademarks.gugliotta.legal, collects the information we need to prepare and file your trademark application. It has its own privacy policy describing that in detail.
